Horwood House Hotel has gone to the rescue of Aylesbury students after their chosen prom venue went into administration.
Year 11 students from Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School were due to have their end of year prom at the Mentmore Golf Club on July 1 and had already paid more than £4,000 towards the event.
However when the school found out that their venue had gone into administration, the hotel stepped in to offer an alternative.
Kate Sawford-Billingham, conference and revenue manager at Horwood House said: “We saw an article in the Bucks Herald which mentioned that the school pupils had lost their prom venue and decided that we needed to step in.
“Horwood House is therefore delighted to offer Sir Henry Floyd School a complimentary room and a complimentary buffet for the 130 students on the evening of July 1.
“We know that the school prom is the highlight of the year for many students and so we are excited to help them celebrate in style.”
