A controversial homes development in Aston Clinton has been given the green light by district councillors.

Developers the CH Rolfe Will Trust want to build 91 homes and convenience store on farmland north of Brook Street and west of College Road South, on the outskirts of the village.

Aylesbury Vale District Council’s strategic development management committee agreed by a margin of 5 to 4 to ‘defer and delegate’ the application to planning officers, in effect approving it subject to technical details being finalised.

The council had received 306 letters of objection regarding the proposal.
