Help needed to solve Second World War mystery of hidden trombone
The Bucks Military Museum Trust are still looking for information about a 1924 Boosey brass trombone hidden in a cellar in France by the Buckinghamshire Battalion from the advancing German Army in May 1940 in the Dunkirk Rearguard.
Historians are trying to locate four local Bandsmen who served with the Buckinghamshire Battalion of the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry (O&BLI) in WW2 and later in 1956 were serving with the Regimental Band 431 Royal Artillery T.A. in Aylesbury.
