Gift appeal for sick children who will spend Christmas in Stoke Mandeville Hospital

Presents for sick children facing spending this Christmas in hospital are being collected by a Tring opticians.

Specsavers in Dolphin Square is calling on people to donate both new and old toys to help bring festive cheer to youngster at Aylesbury’s Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

The deadline for donations is Tuesday, December 16 and the hospital is particularly appealing for small toy cars, model farm animals, dinosaurs and play people, musical baby toys, wooden puzzles, bath toys and coloured pencils.

Store directors Bindi Shah and Divya Kukadia will be taking the Christmas gifts to the children’s ward on Wednesday, December 17.

Bindi said: “We really want to go to the ward with as many presents as possible for all the children to help make their Christmas a little more special.

“Christmas is a time where we should think about others and this is the perfect way for everyone in Tring to come together and help those less fortunate than themselves.”
