Get your eyes to the skies for the Vulcan farewell tour

Have your eyes on the skies on Sunday, as the much-loved Vulcan bomber will fly above the skies of Bucks and Banburyshire on its farewell tour.

The plane, XH558, is the last Vulcan in flight but cannot fly again after this year.

It flew over Gaydon last weekend and now there will be another chance to see it.

There could yet be further final flights later this month but with the details of those yet to be confirmed, this weekend’s plans definitely have our patch on the map.

On Saturday it does a northern route and then on Sunday it heads south.

The planned route includes a Brize Norton flypast after which it goes to a turning point between Waddesdon and Bicester.
