Staff and students at John Colet School, Wendover, raised more than £1,300 in their annual 12 Hour Ultimate Frisbee fundraising challenge in aid of Chiltern MS.

Students and teachers started their challenge at 9am and left the school at 9pm, tired but elated by their achievement. A normal game of Frisbee lasts about ten minutes, so everyone involved took on a huge task.

This year’s chosen charity was Chiltern MS which supports people with Multiple Sclerosis enabling them to live a happier and more comfortable life.

Nico Pope, was one of the John Colet students who took part in the event, he said: “Everyone involved had a great time. We were all overwhelmed by the amount raised. The grand total of £1,380 was amazing and broke all previous records; smashing through the £1,000 mark is something we are all very proud of.

“It is fair to say everyone was relieved when 9pm eventually came around but that does not diminish the great fun and enjoyment everyone got out of the day.”
