A new response car has been launched by the Aylesbury group of ambulance service Community First Responders (CFRs) in the market square.
The car has been sponsored by Aylesbury Town Council, The Susan Dianne School of Dance, Hardings Charity, The Game Club (organisers of the annual vintage vehicle rally), Bespoke Vehicle Glass Tinting and by generous donations from the people of Aylesbury. The car is fully equipped with medical and communications equipment and benefits from the flexibility of 4-wheel drive.
The car will be shared amongst the local CFR group and has already become a familiar site attending emergency calls on the streets of Aylesbury and surrounding villages. It was launched on Saturday, November 21 and a bucket collection raised £515 which will be used by the group to purchase more equipment. A team of four dance students from the Susan Dianne School of Dance were on hand to assist with the collection.
Peter Cooper, a CFR and local co-ordinator said: “I would like to send a big thank you to the very generous people of Aylesbury for being so supportive of this important service.”
