Family tribute to young rugby star Jeremy Tombs who died in A413 crash

The devastated parents of a teenager who died in a crash on the A413 have paid tribute to their son.

Jeremy Tombs, aged 13, from Winslow, was killed in the collision between Weedon and Aylesbury on Sunday October 4.

His mum Dorothy, who was also in the car is still in hospital where she is said to be ‘making progress’.

The young school team rugby player’s family are being supported by police at this very difficult time and his mother and his father Mervyn, said: “Our precious son Jeremy loved, and was loved by, all who knew him. He will always be our sunshine, loved dearly. Shine on sunshine.”

Jeremy attended Sir Thomas Fremantle School in Winslow where pupils are being supported by staff to help them come to terms with the loss of their friend.

A statement released by Thames Valley Police read: “Jeremy had his whole life in front of him and his tragic death has been felt throughout the community.”
