If you’re a fan of outdoor music, picnics and fun you are in for a treat in August.
Get the late Bank Holiday August weekend blocked out in your diary as Aylesbury Town Council is providing a full weekend of free events with Parklife in Vale Park.
With no Hobble on the Cobbles this year, Parklife takes on greater significance and the live music we usually enjoy in the centre of town will now move to Vale Park.
Stoke Mandeville Hospital Radio DJ Dez Kay, who usually hosts Hobbles, will compere Live in the Park on Saturday, August 29. And local promoter Stuart Robb is once again working with the town council to line up a fantastic array of local talent live on stage.
Over eight hours of live music will include El Bronson, Whirlwind, The Synthetix, Old Country Union and Bustin’ Loose.
Platform Soul, the ultimate soul, disco and dance band has a strong local following and will have everyone dancing in the park.
And of course Eighties pop star ToyahWillcox was recently announced as the headline act to finish off a spectacular Saturday.
The following day, on Sunday 30, the fun continues with Church in the Park, Fun in the Park and Proms in the Park. This will see an outdoor church service, a free fun fair with loads of rides, local food and drink to buy, and then the culmination of the weekend with the Proms and sparkling fireworks.
