Local businesses took part in Aylesbury’s first Christmas pudding race today – but it was a case of dislocation, dislocation, dislocation for one estate agent who entered the contest.

Hosted by Mix 96, businesses from across the town were invited to compete as part of relay teams to navigate their way across a bouncy castle and an obstacle course whilst carrying a Christmas pudding above their head.

Teams from Florence Nightingale Hospice, Tiggywinkles, Friars Square, Williams Estate Agents, Hartwell and Shirley Parsons battled it out in Kingsbury and fitness charity Leap won the event with a lap time of one minute 10 seconds.

The event was cut short for Dave Matthews of Williams Estate Agents who dislocated his knee.

Bucks paramedics were on hand and took Mr Matthews to Stoke Mandeville Hospital where his knee was put back in place.

A spokesman for the estate agents said: “He is fine now and resting at home.”
