32-year-old man arrested for drug, weapon and restriction of movement offences after stop and search on Tring Road

It follows a stop and search of a driver in a vehicle on Tring Road, Aylesbury, in which a knife was found and a drug wipe taken was positive for cannabis today (2/4).

A 32-year-old man from Birmingham, was arrested today.

He was arrested for the following reasons:

-Suspicion of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit,

-Possession of a controlled drug of class B (cannabis/cannabis resin),

-Possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, contravening the requirement as to the restriction of movement during the Coronavirus emergency period,

-Using a vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance,

-Driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and committing an act/series of acts with intent to pervert the course of justice.

He remains in custody at this time.
