Here are the dramatic photographs of the taxi which caught fire in rush hour traffic on Friday (February 27).
The front of the Vauxhall Zafira taxi, which belongs to Aylesbury-based firm Falcon, was put out by Tring’s retained firefighters after they were called to the scene just before 7am.
A motorist, who passed the scene just off the A41 on the roundabouts at the Aston Clinton junction after the fire had been put out, said: “It smelled awful, the whole front of the taxi was burnt out. I hope the driver is OK.”
The fire, which was logged as accidental, was dealt with by 7.38am.
The Bucks Herald has approached Falcon Taxis for a comment.
