Did you see man in the Grand Union Canal in Aylesbury?
Firefighters were called to an incident in Aylesbury yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) in which a man was reportedly seen in the Grand Union Canal on Osier Way.
Two fire crews attended but by the time they arrived the man was out of the water and in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “This was a concern for welfare incident and after he was rescued from the water he was taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital for further assessment.”
There are unconfirmed reports that the man was rescued by a member of the public.
