Crowds watch funeral procession for father killed in suspected murder at Nash Park

Police shut off town centre streets for the funeral procession of Adam Fanelli who was found dead at a traveller site in Nash.

A large crowd gathered for the funeral and dozens of family and friends escorted Mr Fanelli’s coffin as it travelled by horse and carriage.

The procession, which passed through Houghton Regis and Mr Fanelli’s hometown of Dunstable yesterday, was overseen by police officers who closed off town centre streets and shoppers who paid their respects.

A short service took place at All Saints Church in Houghton Regis before the procession continued to a Dunstable cemetery.

Mr Fanelli, who was 31 and a scrap metal dealer, was found dead at Nash Park on March 17. Tests show he died from head injuries.

Jemma Price, 30, from Bedfordshire, and Addy McAllister, 33, from Derbyshire have both been charged with murder.

Two other men and a woman were arrested for questioning but have not been charged.
