Woman raped as she slept in Friars Square bus station carpark on Sunday

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was raped in at the bus station Friars Square Car Park in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The incident took place between 4am and 5am on Sunday (15/3).

While sleeping in the car park, a woman aged in her forties, was raped by an unknown man.

The police have describe the man as black and of a small build, aged between 20 and 30 with short black hair in an afro style.

The woman suffered some minor scratches and was treated in hospital where she remains at this time.

She is being offered specialist help and support.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Justin Harris of Aylesbury Force CID, said: “I understand that this incident may cause concern in the community, but I would like to reassure people that a thorough investigation is underway.

“I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, who might be able to help with our investigation.

“If you saw or heard anything in that area please get in touch. The bus station is relatively secluded but it is likely potential witnesses will have made their way through the carpark.
