Police report results of speed checks in Aylesbury at the weekend

Thames Valley Police conducted speed checks in Aylesbury on Saturday and they report that 13 drivers were recorded as exceeding the speed limit by more than 33%.

Police said on their Twitter account: "A total of 13 drivers were reported for travelling at over 40mph in a 30mph area."

They also said that the highest speed of the day was 46mph in a 30mph area.

Between June 2018 - June 2019, 1,870 people were killed on UK roads according to Government statistics.
