At 10.30am on Sunday (23/5), a woman aged in her thirties was jogging in Rodgers Wood in Amersham, adjacent to the A413 and A355, when she came across a man and a woman who were seemingly in a verbal confrontation.

As the jogger went by, the man grabbed the woman by the throat. The jogger tried to intervene, but the man threw an object towards her which struck her in the head. The man then produced a pen knife, and then a minor scuffle led to the jogger sustaining a cut to her hand, for which she did not need hospital treatment.
