Police find huge drugs haul on Aylesbury High Street

Police were seen removing large brown bags, lights and equipment used to grow marijuana last night on the High Street.

The Police had removed shutters in front of Vinnie's Fish Bar.

There was a presence of at least one forensic van, one community policing van and two other unmarked police vans.

One eyewitness said they saw a forensics team on site, and auxillary workers breaking down the shop to hunt for concealed items.

They said: "The first thing that struck me was the smell, everything stunk of weed!

"They must have scored a huge haul because officers just kept coming out of the buildings with big bags.

"Makes you wonder how people can get away with it, literally on Aylesbury's High Street!"

Despite the size of the haul, Thames Valley Police say no arrests have yet been made.

A Statement from Thames Valley Police said: "Thames Valley Police officers attended High Street, Aylesbury at around 12:10pm on Thursday (3/9).

"It followed a report that a quantity of drugs were discovered at a disused property in the street.

"No arrests have been made in relation to this.

"Anyone with information would be asked to contact Thames Valley Police, quoting reference 43200275902."
