Police appeal for video footage of attack that left teenage girl hospitalised in Thame

Police are appealing for video footage after a teenage girl was attacked by two other teenagers in Thame on Monday (May 17).

The assault, which happened at around 3.50pm, left the girl needing hospital treatment, Thames Valley Police reports.

It happened at the alleyway by Hazel Avenue towards Cuttle Brook Nature Reserve, when the two girls approached the victim.

They grabbed the victim by her hair, punched her in the face and dragged her to the ground where they continued to kick and stamp on her. They then left the scene.

The victim sustained redness and bruising to her cheek as well as a lump to the back of her head that she received hospital treatment for.

A 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl, both from Buckinghamshire, were arrested on suspicion of assault thereby occasioning actual bodily harm. They have been released on police bail.

Investigating officer, PC Olivia Horsley, based at Thame police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have information about this assault to please come forward.

“I believe there may have been footage of this incident on social media, therefore would also ask people to share that with us.
