Man charged over town crime spree

A man has been charged after a spate of vehicle thefts and burglaries across Aylesbury.

Ian Haynes, 25, of Rothschild House in Wycliffe End, Aylesbury, was charged on May 30 and remanded to Wycombe Magistrates Court where he appeared the same day.

He was charged with two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, one count of a non-dwelling burglary and one count of a burglary in a dwelling.

This related to the theft of a car from St Catherine’s Court between May 5 and May 6, theft of a Vauxhall motor vehicle from Meadowcroft, between May 7 and May 8, a burglary of a garage in Albany Place, between November 19 2013 and April 6 2014 and a burglary in a caravan in Prebendal Avenue on May 9.
