Man charged after police officer was hospitalised following assault in Aylesbury

A man has been charged after an officer was assaulted in Aylesbury on Monday August 24th

Sulaimaan Khan, aged 25, of Somerville Road, Birmingham was charged with one count each of driving a motor vehicle dangerously and attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

It is in connection with an incident at around 2.30pm on Monday (24/8) in Hampden Gardens, Aylesbury in which officers attempted to stop a vehicle. The vehicle did not stop and an officer’s foot was caught between the vehicle and a police car.

The officer received hospital treatment but has since been discharged.

Khan has been remanded in custody to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on 29 September.
