Images of three men released after violent street robbery of 87-year-old in Aylesbury

Thames Valley Police is issuing a continued appeal for witnesses following a robbery of an 87-year-old man which occurred in Aylesbury, and is releasing images of three men who might have vital information relating to the offence.

The incident happened on Tuesday 17 March between about 9.50pm and 10.10pm in Kingsbury Square.

The victim, an 87-year-old man, left Paddy Power bookmakers’ and was walking along Granville Street.

An offender or offenders approached him from behind and hit him, causing him to fall onto the pavement face first.

His wallet containing a bank card and £10 was then stolen from him.

The victim suffered a cranial bleed and also knocked out some teeth when he hit the ground. He also suffered extensive swelling to the right hand side of his face.

Investigator Hannah Mitchell of Aylesbury CID, said: “We are appealing again for any information about this incident, which left an elderly man with serious injuries. Today we are releasing images of three men who we think could have vital information about this.
