Huge police presence descends on Aylesbury town centre

Police have been called to an incident on Buckingham Street near Market Square in the Town Centre at around 4.15 this afternoon.

It's currently unclear what's happened but an eyewitness reported shouting and screaming by the John Hampden statue outside HSBC.

Three police cars arrived at the scene with blue lights on.

There was also a police van and an unmarked 4x4 that showed up.

Thames Valley Police have been approached for a comment.

The eyewitness, who did not want to be named said: "I looked out of my window and people were arguing with police officers.

"It seemed pretty innocuous then another police car arrived, then another.

"Then a van showed up and also what looked to be an unmarked police car."
