Do you know this man? Police would like to speak to him in connection with attack that left 87-year-old with a 'cranial bleed'

Officers investigating the robbery of an elderly man in Aylesbury, are appealing for help to trace this man they believe could be staying in the Corby area.

Between 9.50pm and 10.10pm on Tuesday, March 17, an 87-year-old man was walking along Granville Street in Aylesbury, when he was approached from behind and assaulted, causing him to fall face first to the pavement.

The man sustained a cranial bleed and some teeth were knocked out as a result of him hitting the pavement. He also sustained extensive swelling to the right hand side of his face and had his wallet stolen.

Thames Valley Police has released CCTV images of a man they believe may have information about the robbery and are asking him or anyone who recognises him to contact police.

Anyone with information or who may have any information about the whereabouts of this man is asked to contact PC Mark Walker in the Corby Neighbourhood Policing Team who is assisting Thames Valley Police with this investigation.

A second man, aged 23, was arrested by officers from the Corby Neighbourhood Policing Team in the town yesterday (Thursday, April 23) in connection with this incident.
