It happened at around 2.45pm yesterday (18/8) in Berryfields Road. The victim, a 10-year-old boy was approached by the offender in a car and asked if he wanted a free kitten.

The boy got into the car, believed to be a small red Toyota.

The victim’s brother saw this and followed the car where it was driven to the Meadowcroft Community Centre car park. Here, the victim was let out.

A 22-year-old man from Birmingham has been arrested in connection with this incident and is currently in custody.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Rob Mogridge, based at Aylesbury police station said: “We are appealing for witnesses or anyone who has any information about what happened to please come forward.

“We believe this was a busy area around the time this happened and that there is a good chance that someone saw what happened.

“We would also like to reassure the local community that an arrest has been made and we are conducting a thorough investigation into what happened.
