17-year-old arrested in Aylesbury Amir Shafique murder investigation

Officers investigating the murder of Amir Shafique, aged 22, in Aylesbury, have this morning (20/11) made a further arrest, bringing the total number arrested to 18.

A 17-year-old boy from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody for questioning.

The arrest is in connection with an incident in Lembrook Walk, Aylesbury, on 28 October, when officers were called to reports of a large fight.

Sadly, Mr Shafique died of his injuries in hospital.

Seven other people, five from Aylesbury and two from Birmingham, have previously been charged with murder and have been remanded in custody.

Ten others have been released on conditional bail while investigations continue.
