There’s cash to be spent on getting people more active – and a council chief wants you to decide how it’s spent.
There are two surveys, one for under 16s and one for adults and participants can win £200 of shopping vouchers and other prizes for taking part.
The survey asks how much activity you do, as well as questions about access, cost and the facilities you would like to see improved in the area.
General lifestyle questions are also included, such as what kind of groups you would attend, and why you would like to get more active.
Martin Phillips, cabinet member for community engagement and public health at Bucks County Council, said: “Too few people are doing enough physical activity to benefit their health.
“This means they are missing out on the other benefits being active can bring, such as reducing the risk of diseases including type 2 diabetes and some cancers, meeting other local people and improving their general wellbeing.”
The survey closes on August 31, after which date the winners of the prizes will be contacted.
A spokesman said: “Being active doesn’t have to mean taking up a sport or joining a gym.Any activity which makes you breathe faster and feel warmer – even ten minute bursts of activities such as gardening or brisk walking make a great contribution.”
