Could our Pearl become one of the UK’s youngest MPs?
Pearl Lewis has represented the Luffield Abbey ward since 2010 but will not stand for Aylesbury Vale District Council re-election because she wants to spend more time with her husband James.
Ms Lewis, who got married in September and lives with James in Stony Stratford, is a prospective Tory MP for Hayes and Harlington.

Hide AdShe said she has no regrets about her time as a district councillor and is most proud of her work on rural broadband.
“It’s been five years and I have loved it to bits,” she said. “But I’m hoping to spend more time with my husband.
Ms Lewis, who is a quality assurance manager at the University of Buckingham, spoke at my her meeting council meeting this week.
She said: “I would like to see more young people getting involved. I know how rewarding it is to be a district councillor - not just professionally but personally too. I hope my legacy is inspiring more people under 30 to get into politics.”
