A motorsport company is lending its support to the Aylebsury Grammar School (AGS) fete on Saturday, June 27.
THM Racing will be bringing many members of its race team and one of its race drivers, FIA World Rally and Saloon Car star Robert Barrable, who is flying in specially for the event.
It will also be bringing along one of its race cars, which is competing in the prestigeous Volkswagen Racing Cup 2015 Championship, and one of its race trucks.
Based in Watford, THM Racing will also be supporting the school with a an exclusive raffle prize, a pit-stop challenge for pupils to take part in, as well as an opportunity to view and sit in the race car, which will be started at intervals during the day.
There is already a graphic design competion running for school pupils to enter, with entries being collected on the day at the fete, when they will be judged and prizes will be awarded by THM Racing.
THM racing director Steve Parkinson said: “When we first spoke with the school, immediately we said we will find a way to get us there for you.
“The Aylesbury Grammar School, as with other schools, relies heavily on the support of the local community, its PTA and of course the pupils and their families and friends, so for us to be able to be there to help as well,is great.
“We shall have a race truck there, albeit a challenge to get it in, as well as a race car and members of the team and we are flying Rob Barrable in to appear as well.
“Hopefully the weather will be good and we can get as many people as possible to attend the day. There’s lots going on and it will be a great day.”
The AGS fete is from 11am to 3pm on Saturday.
