Some friends of the feathered variety joined in the half-term fun in Aylesbury town centre yesterday (Thursday).
Organised as the latest in a series of holiday events for kids by the Aylesbury Town Centre Partnership, Feathered Friends Thursday involved a display of a range of birds for children.
Parrots, owls and kookaburras were among the creatures showcasing their aerial talents.
Aylesbury town centre manager Diana Fawcett said: “We organised the day as a celebration of birds.
“There were opportunities to watch peregrines through the telescopes and loads of activities including arts and crafts making.
“We also had a pony called Tony who was there as well.
“There was a very good turnout and we probably had about 1,000 people during the course of the day.
“It was a really colourful scene and there was a lot of squawking as well!”
