An art exhibition inspired by the British coastline, beaches and English summer meadows features a wonderful collection of art and designer craft.
The Summer Collection uses a wide range of mediums and styles by over 50 selected British artists and makers and is full of colour and variety.
Entry is free to the exhibition at Obsidian Art at The Bucks Goat Centre, Old Risborough Road in Stoke Mandeville, and all work is for sale.
The selected artists include several local artists as well as many from further afield.
One such is Debbie Lord from Cornwall who is exhibiting at Obsidian for the first time.
Her glass panels are full of colour and fun and she takes inspiration from the harbours and beaches in her home county.
Debbie uses kiln-formed fused glass to produce exciting jewel-like colours and said: “I love the unique natural beauty we have in Britain and spend much of my free time trying to capture its splendour.
“I translate these images by initially using bold colours and simple shapes, then layer glass frits and powders on top before fusing to create a glass painting full of colour and texture.”
Other glass art in the exhibition includes stained glass panels and vibrant fused glass wall panels.
The glass is complimented by a wide range of paintings, prints, ceramics, jewellery and sculpture.
Summer Collection is open daily from 10am-5pm Monday to Saturday and from noon - 4pm on Sundays until August 16.
