The six ladies at the Cleaning Team, based in Haddenham, are starring in Sky One’s The Big Movie Sing-A-Long which gives the public a chance to perform their own renditions of famous musical movie hits.

Their rendition of Abba’s Dancing Queen, which featured in hit musical Mama Mia, is set to be a highlight of the pilot show.

The pair – together with staff Georgia Williams, 21, of Thame, Lisa Giglio, 35, Lisa Natale, 50 and Sammie Purton, 39, all from Aylesbury – were then invited to audition on a video call over the phone while they were sat in their van in the middle of the Cattle Market car park in Thame.

“We had to sing our chosen song about four times – we got a few looks!” said Donna.

The show’s producer loved the bubbly gang.

They soon found themselves recording the song in London before being whisked away to Tyringham Hall in Cuddington to shoot the video, in which they appear as very glamorous cleaners.

Donna’s husband Olly, 49, and son Oliver, 26, also joined in the fun alongside Tracey’s husband Damien, 48.

Tracey said: “The video has got a story to it.

“We arrive at the hall which is a big manor hosue and the owners are out so we take over the house, take a bath, wear their clothes.”

The pair said it was the best week of fun they’d ever had – in fact when filming wrapped up it was a ‘massive let down’ to resume normal life once again.

The team will first see the finished article when the show airs at 2.30pm.

They will all be in the same room, so, as Tracey puts it, they can ‘all cringe together’.

Donna said she hopes the pilot is successful so the show is turned into a series, giving more ordinary people the opportunity to become music stars for the day.

“I would definitely recommend it to groups of friends because you don’t get the opportunity to do this everyday.”
