Disadvantaged children across Bucks will have a happier Christmas this year thanks to the generosity of people who donated to this year’s Mix 96 annual toy appeal.
And this year’s haul is a record with an incredible 2.205 presents donated.
The radio station has been working in conjunction with car dealership Perrys on the Bicester Road in encouraging people to buy one extra present to give to a deserving child and drop it off at their studios in Bourbon Street in Aylesbury or at Perrys.
More than 20 charities will benefit this year including Aylesbury Women’s Aid, The PACE Centre and Young Carers Bucks.
Mix96 Managing Director Max Hailey said: “Every year the generosity of the people of Bucks simply amazes me.
“We have even received donations from families that have had gifts in the past – their circumstances have now changed for the better and they want to give something back.”
