They were caught on CCTV, and police would like to speak to them following a frightening robbery in Steeple Claydon.

At around 5.15pm on Monday two people entered the village Co-op and walked into the kiosk behind the tills.

They then took packets of cigarettes and tobacco and a bottle of alcohol from the shelves and put them into a carrier bag.

They ran out of the shop along West End Street towards the fountain.

No weapons were used but one offender told a customer that he had a knife.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Francesca Dell’Aglio, based at Aylesbury police station, said: “I am releasing these images in the hope that someone recognises them or saw someone wearing this clothing in the area early on Monday evening.

“Those in the shop at the time were understandably left feeling shaken and I urge anyone with any information to get in touch.
