The Great British Spring Clean is an initiative which is run by Keep Britain Tidy, a charity which aims to eliminate litter, end waste and improve places.

Their latest campaign hopes to encourage the public to do their bit in their town by pledging to take part in a litter pick anytime between 28 May and 13 June 2021.

Members of the public, local schools, community groups and businesses are welcome to borrow Aylesbury Town Council’s Litter Pick Kits to help them with their pledge and remove litter from streets and parks in our local area.

The Litter Pick Kits provided by Aylesbury Town Council are available to anyone within the parish who would like to participate in the Great British Spring Clean.

They include litter pickers, high vis jackets and bin bags. An arrangement can also be made for the Town Council to collect rubbish that has been picked.

Taking part in the Great British Spring Clean is not only good for the environment, but great for mental and physical health too. Last year, 79% of people who took part

reported improved mood and 51% said it encouraged them to move more.
