Cheese lovers who enjoy fine dining in superb surroundings are in for a treat.
All things Cheese! is a specialist three course lunch prepared by Hartwell House head chef Daniel Richardson and his team to celebrate British Cheese Week.
Being held from noon on Friday (September 25) the lunch menu will begin with cheese canapes and prosecco in the library of the beautiful historic house.
Mr Richardson said: “I’m looking forward to it very much.
“It’s a challenge to create every course around cheese.
“I enjoy doing things like this. It’s fun to play around with everything and create harmony around the fish, meat and fruit using cheese.
“You have to push yourself and excel yourself to come up with something new and innovative.”
The cheese for the menu has been provided by Premier Cheese who have premises in Beaconsfield and Bicester.
Eric Charriaux will give an informative talk about the delights and differences of the many different types of cheese from around the British Isles in the library prior to the meal.
The menu will start with Sussex Slipcote organic cheese served on sea scallops; followed by cave aged goats cheese and goats curd served with lamb belly and cutlet; and end with Shropshire Blue served with plum tart and Hartwell honey; rounded off with cheesey beetroot macaroon and coffee.
