Rock legend Neil Murray, bass guitarist with Whitesnake and Black Sabbath, will be the special guest at a school’s music festival.
Oakley CofE Combined School will be hosting OakFest on Saturday June 13 and the gates to the school field on Worminghall Road will open at 1pm.
The crowds will be entertained through to midnight by 11 bands and artists, many of whom are local to Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
A spokesman for the event said: “As well as the superb talents of the musicians there will be a fully stocked bar featuring real ales, local ciders, lots of lager, a barbecue and hog roast as well as a traditional tea tent.
“For the children there is an activity tent and bouncy castle, ice creams, sweeties and even a ‘selfie station’.”
All money raised will go towards providing equipment and learning resources for the school.
The spokesman added: “Bring a deckchair or blanket.
“Have a fun-filled day!
“Friends and family all welcome.”

Adults are £5, under 18s £3 and there is an advance ticket sale offer, buy one adult ticket, get an under 18s ticket free.
There is free parking on the recreation ground via Lynnens View off Oxford Road.
