Beaconsfield named the most adulterous town in Buckinghamshire

Beaconsfield has put itself on the map, but perhaps not for the reasons it would like.

The town is officially home to 408 adulterers, 3.40% of its adult population, which makes it the third most adulterous town in the entire country.

The Infidelity Index shows the most adulterous towns and cities in the UK; you can check how adulterous your town is at www.infidelityindex.co.uk.

The map has been compiled by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK's leading dating website for married people and the leading authority on infidelity.

The postal data of adulterers on IllicitEncounters.com is mapped against the adult population of each town, giving an overall percentage of cheating adults, along with each town's overall number of adulterers.

The most adulterous town in the country is Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire, while Wigan in Greater Manchester is the most faithful.

Beaconsfield isn’t alone, with neighbouring High Wycombe, once the most adulterous town in the country, still finding itself in a respectable 16th place; 1.83% of its adult population, 2,020 adulterers, is having an affair.

Amersham finds itself right in the middle of the Index, landing in 75th place with 0.85% of its adult population cheating (612 adulterers).

There is some good news, however, as Milton Keynes is one of the UK’s most faithful towns, finding itself in 128th place out of a possible 150. 0.44%, 754 adulterers, of its adult population are looking for an affair. It was also one of the most faithful towns in the UK last year, too, when it finished in 117th place.

The site’s spokesperson, Christian Grant, comments:

“Buckinghamshire has taken one step forward and two steps back. High Wycombe, the most adulterous town in the UK in 2016, has clearly made a conscious effort to rid itself of that title.

“The bad news is that Beaconsfield has ruined all of their hard work, coming in 3rd overall. It’s possible that news of High Wycombe’s success spread, creating some sort of rivalry between the two towns, or maybe all of High Wycombe’s adulterers simply just moved, but whatever the reason, Buckinghamshire continues its annual tradition of being one of the UK’s most adulterous counties.
