“Can my Right Honourable Friend confirm to me that the new trade deals our government is working on will safeguard our high food standards and provide fantastic new opportunities
to the hardworking farmers in my part of Buckinghamshire?”
The Prime Minister was clear in his commitment to both food standards and farmers, saying:
“Yes indeed, Mr Speaker. I can give him that assurance.
“We will not only protect high food standards in this country, safeguard animal welfare, but open up new opportunities for farmers in Buckinghamshire and across the UK.”
