The company said 'following a successful pilot', they will now look to re-open all drive throughs by 4th June.

They will also be adding 75 restaurants to McDelivery via either Uber Eats or Just Eat.

A statement from the company said they will be making changes to staffing in order to comply with social distancing legislation.

They are also trialling a new limited menu, with no breakfast, wraps or milkshakes on offer.

They will also be open over reduced hours, from 11am to 10pm.

Spending will also be limited to £25.

McDonald's said: "Our teams are adjusting to new safety and hygeine procedures, which will help them to work safely and social distances, and we appreciate your continued patience.

"We are delighted to be returning to communities across the UK and Ireland, but things will look different and will take a little longer.

"Please bear with us."
