Aylesbury mayor to appear in Waterside opera

Mayor of Aylesbury Cllr Allison Harrison is making a guest appearance in a show at the Waterside Theatre next month.

Die Fledermaus is coming to the theatre on Friday, April 1 and Cllr Harrison is starring as a special guest during the show.

The mayor is set to make an entrance during the masked ball scene in the second act of the opera.

Cllr Harrison is likely to engage in some amusing dialogue with Prince Orlofsky, host of the ball.

The scene is a tradition in the opera and it sees a mystery person be welcomed to the ball so they can entertain the guests on stage by singing, dancing or performing another talent.
