Today's data from the UK Government shows Aylesbury Vale's infection rate is continuing to decline.

Six Coronavirus-related deaths were confirmed in Aylesbury Vale in the UK Government's daily update for February 17.

Down from 40 yesterday (February 16), 38 new people in Aylesbury Vale tested positive for the virus.

The current infection rate for Aylesbury Vale is 127.9 cases per 100,000 (this data is taken from figures up to February 12).

The overall death toll for the area has reached 304 and in total 10,958 positive tests for Covid have been confirmed.

Overall in Buckinghamshire 120 new cases were confirmed, a rise from yesterday's figure of 98. Whilst, 29,330 people have tested positive in the county since the start of the pandemic.

Nationally, 12,718 new cases were recorded and 738 deaths were announced today (February 17). Since the start of the pandemic 118,933 coronavirus-related deaths have been confirmed in Britain.
