Aylesbury Cemetery opening hours to change

Opening and closing times at Tring Road Cemetery in Aylesbury are set to change.

Aylesbury Town Council said they are being streamlined as closing times currently vary from month to month, which can make them difficult to remember.

Going forward there will be two different closing times and there will no longer be a distinction between weekends, weekdays and Bank Holidays.

As from March 27 they will be: Winter (last Sunday in October to last Saturday in March): 8am to 4pm. Summer (last Sunday in March to last Saturday in October): 8am to 8pm.

Cllr Stuart Jarvis, chairman of the Direct Services committee said: “The new opening and closing times ensure that the times are easy to remember and that there can’t be any confusion.

“We regularly receive calls from members of the public checking what the closing time is each day.”
