An articulated lorry has jackknifed during an accident on a country road.
The lorry was on route to Lark Energy’s solar farm in Thornborough when it became involved in a crash in Mill Lane, the road that leads to Thornborough Mill.
The accident happened at around 1pm yesterday afternoon (Thursday).
The driver was unhurt and no emergency services attended the scene.
Richard Burdon, who lives near to the scene of the accident said: “The lorry took a wrong turning down a single track lane and realising his mistake reversed up and the lorry and trailer ended up in the ditch, taking out the hedge and the fence.
“There was a load of solar panels in the trailer which was completely stuck so he said he was ringing a friend to come and tow him out.
“He was not hurt but he was very shaken.”
Mr Burdon said accidents were not common on the road.
He added: “There is a sign saying ‘Lark Energy - do not turn.’
“I think people don’t always see it when they go in.”
