Archive: Foundation stone of John Hampden statue
The ceremony taking place is the laying of the foundation stone of the John Hampden statue in Market Square, Aylesbury.
It was performed on King George V’s Coronation Day, June 22, 1911, by James Griffin of Long Marston as a coronation gift.
