Apple Day is soon upon us: Month-long fayre in Tring is about to kick off!

Apple Day will be happening on Sunday – and everyone is invited.

The event will be taking part at Jeacock’s Orchard, Cow Lane, from 10am to 4pm.

It will be the first event in this year’s Tring Apple Fayre – which happens on an annual basis.

Spokesman Christine Hopkins said: “There will be a large variety of apples for sale, refreshments, spinning and weaving demonstrations, honey for sale.

“There will be activities, charity stalls, music and a short World War One commemorative play.

New for this year will be frog racing!”

Jeacock’s Orchard is an historic smallholding, orchard and wildlife site.

Ms Hopkins said: “Please walk if possible but there is parking at Pendley Manor Hotel meadow. The entrance is in Cow Lane, opposite Jeacocks Orchard, courtesy of the hotel.

“Other events will be taking place throughout October. The Apple Cart procession through Tring High Street and special Farmers’ market will be on October 25.”
