144 tee offs for golfers on charity challenge

A 24-hour golf challenge which saw six amateur players complete 26 miles, 144 holes and eight rounds of 18 holes has raised more than £2,000 for local charity The Rural Community Defibrillator Group.

Led by manager Nick Shaw, the event was held on Saturday, May 7 until Sunday, May 8, in hot weather. The challengers opted to wear garish and brightly coloured golf attire for the event, which started at 11.45am.

After dusk the golfers switched to the night golf equipment which posed a completely new experience with lit up balls and tees.

The charity challenge was held as the club hosted a family fun day with stalls and bouncy castle, and visitors could watch the golfers complete their final round just before noon on the Sunday.

The charity have thanked the team and Princes Risborough Golf Club would like to extend its appreciation of the hard word put in by everyone who was involved with the event.
