Our Dave off on a Swiss Role!

One minute he’s hitting the hard things for MK covers troupe Spaced Out, and the next Daiv Carpenter is swanning around Europe playing drums for Nick Hellfort.

Hellfort is the solo project of Nicolaj Ruhnow, who puts his vocals to UK NWOBHM band Tokyo Blade and German melodic metallers Domain.

Our Daiv has been a long time fan and friend to those in the Tokyo Blade mould, and so when this solo stint came up, he slid right into place behind the kit.

It’s a nice gig for our local player to bag, and will take him to Germany, Belgium, France and Switzerland, which frankly will throw up far more scenic opportunities than CMK.

The live stuff begins tomorrow with a launch party in Switzerland for the debut album, The Mask Within.
