A further 61 new Covid cases were confirmed in Aylesbury Vale this weekend.

On Saturday (June 26) 33 new cases were confirmed and yesterday another 28 positive tests were returned.

No new Covid linked deaths were confirmed in the region, the government defines these as when someone passes away within 28 days of testing positive.

One new hospital admission was recorded by the Buckinghamshire Healthcare Services.

The 61 new positives continues a recent trend of higher case numbers in the region, 27 cases were confirmed on Friday. In the past seven days 168 new positive tests have been recorded a 55.6% rise from the previous weeks' worth of figures.

Across the UK another 33,146 new Covid cases were confirmed in the past 48 hours and 34 virus-linked deaths were recorded.

The latest rollout figures shown by Public Health England reveal that 84.1% of adults in the Uk have received the first dose of a vaccine protecting against Covid, 61.6% of over 18s are fully vaccinated.
