Coronavirus update: New data reveals five more deaths in Bucks care homes

The number of confirmed deaths from coronavirus in Buckinghamshire has risen by five to 234 following the release of new care home data today.

There have been no new deaths reported in the region's hospitals in the past 24 hours.

Data shows that 117 people in total have now died with coronavirus in Buckinghamshire hospitals between 5 March – 1 June, and 117 people in total have died in care homes in the region between 10 April – 29 May. Statistics for Buckinghamshire do not include Milton Keynes.

In the United Kingdom a further 324 people have been reported to have died with coronavirus in the past 24 hours, taking the total to 39,369 in 13 weeks.

Globally, 378,498 are now known to have died after testing positive for coronavirus across the world.

- Work from home if you can

- Limit contact with other people

- Keep your distance if you go out (2 metres apart where possible)

- Wash your hands regularly
